Thank God - You Made It

For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. – 1Timothy 4:4

This scripture changed my life; it changed my perspective of what I had grown to believe about myself for many years. Because I was in a dysfunctional situation, I was often told that I wasn’t good enough and will never be good enough. As I started to study God’s word I learnt the truth about who I really was in Christ Jesus. I discovered that what had been hammered into my head for over a decade was not true. It set me free to finally know that since God created me and everything that God made is good, I must be good.

I thank God every day for creating me – just the way that I am. My gender is not an accident and my personality is not an after thought. Like every designer has a plan for what he creates, God had a unique plan when he made me. Hallelujah to my Father in Heaven! I now know that I am blessed and not everyone will like you when you are blessed. Truth be told, some will simply hate the fact that you are blessed. They come up with all sorts of reasons why they don’t like you. It may be the way you talk or how you are not affectionate or you make too many jokes but deep down they are resentful because of God’s blessings upon your life. God has changed you, moved you forward in leaps and bounds and has opened and is opening doors for you. Not all your friends are going to be happy for you.

You are blessed; you survived the heartache and all the drama. Walk with your head held high. You are now free to have peace of mind. Your head is clear to go after all those things you’ve always dreamed of but were too scared to tell. God has given you a second chance, a new lease on life, thank him for it. You’ve been through hell and high water and you are still standing so rejoice in the Lord your God. Don’t give a second thought to what people think or what they heard, you are highly favored. You know that you are not blessed because you deserve it; you are blessed because you believe.
