In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. – Genesis 1:1-2
When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female and blessed them. And when they were created, he called them “man”. – Genesis 5:1-2
I don’t know about you, but the evolution versus creation debate is really a no-brainer. How can anybody believe that all we see today came from nothing? How is it possible that the world came to be purely by natural processes? Proponents of the evolution theory believe strongly that God does not exist and that He is simply a figment of any believer’s imagination. Evolution dictates that everything in essence made itself and that being the case each individual is accountable only to himself or herself and he or she can do what they believe is right in their own eyes. When we base what we are going to believe on facts that can only be tested over and over again in a laboratory to yield the same results, we deny the existence of God and His rightful place in our lives.
The Bible is clear – God created the heavens and the earth. They did not come to be via any other way. Until God put his supernatural touch on this earth, it was without form or pattern and filled with darkness. But even with all the darkness, the Light of the Spirit of God had His eye on the earth. God has, is and always will be hovering over the earth. He was here before the earth was formed and He will be available to all those who believe until eternity.
What will you believe - Creation or evolution?
