No Life Apart From God

“I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, to your amazement he will show him even greater things than these. For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it." – John 5:19-21

As a believer, I have come to understand that I can do nothing, achieve nothing nor be nothing without the help of my Heavenly Father. God is the initiator of all that I do and I am simply a responder. Jesus himself says in the above scripture that he does nothing without the Father and it is imperative that we follow in the footsteps of our God. Whatever we try to do without involving God will have no lasting fulfillment. It might bring us earthly love and it might bring us material wealth but age lets us know that earthly validation and material possessions both mean nothing in eternity. I have met a lot of earthly validated and wealthy people who have miserable lives.

When we chose to walk with God and turn over our lives to him, He begins to show us things. He gives our lives new meaning. Our visions begin to change as our lives change. We start to see things in ways that we have never imagined. The Bible tells us that we will do even greater works in the name of the Lord. He is the Only One who has the power to bring life to a dark existence.

Surrender your life to Jesus Christ today. Everyone puts their trust, hope and belief in someone or something. Make God the One that you put your trust, hope and belief in.
