So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will upload you with my righteous right hand – Isaiah 41: 10
I once lived in fear of all the things I couldn’t control. I worried and was anxious about my marriage, my home life and my job. I filled my nights and my days with “what ifs”. I found myself beings suspicious of everyone and everything. I was wearing myself out for no reason at all. With time and prayer, I have finally gotten to a point where I believe the words of Isaiah. I now enjoy the joy that comes with giving total control of my life to God. Now I know that certain things are completely out of my control and worrying or pondering upon them does me no good and do not change a thing.
If I lose my job today, I’ll get another one. If you don’t love me, somebody else will. If I lose this house or home, God will provide another. I have learnt to stop worrying and discovered that entering into God’s peace is the solution to any problem that I might face in this realm. I am learning to keep the word of God in my heart. It chases away all my fears and eradicates all worry and feelings of inadequacies. It makes me whole. I pray today that you will discover the power in the word of God. It will transform your entire life if you will only believe.
