Fight!

What are your beliefs? What keeps you grounded? When you become a believer of Jesus Christ, you often feel a restrictive force that attempts to hinder you and stop you from moving in the right direction. You feel yourself fighting the enemy that was once a part of your posse. It becomes imperative that you arm yourself against this restrictive force of the enemy with the Word of God. To fight this kind of fight, you need Faith.

In a Christian warfare, the odds are generally against you. But if it looked like you were going to win all along you wouldn’t need faith. But if you really believe what you believe, you must stand for it. If you stand for something you are going to have to fight sometimes for what you believe. Do away with the timid, passive, lukewarm, “don’t want to offend anybody” attitude that is so prevalent today. Sometimes you will need to be controversial and roll-up your sleeves in order to successfully defend what you believe.

Jesus Christ said - “I came not to bring peace but a sword”. At times, an “I don’t care what you think and who likes it or not – I need to do what needs to be done” attitude is of great gain. If you don’t fight, the enemy will take over your stuff. He’ll make you think you’re not good enough to do what God called you to do. He’ll take your body; he’ll take your mind, your house, your family, your children and your job.

You need to stop feeling sorry for yourself and fight. The enemy is after your life, you must fight. The weapons of our warfare aren’t carnal; but they are mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds and every high thing that exalts itself above the knowledge of God; casting down imaginations and bringing every thought under subjection to the obedience of Christ. This fight is not fair but it has to be done.

And remember – If God be for you; who can be against you. No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper and every tongue that rises against you the Lord will condemn.

Fight.
