Try God

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. – Psalm 34:8

You’ve tried everything and nothing seems to be working. All your ideas and DIY solutions have taken you nowhere. All of a sudden you are all alone. Every soul that promised that they will always be there for you are long gone. The living room used to be packed full during the holiday season; everyone showed up at your house to break bread with you. Now these same people will have nothing to do with you. Things are no longer the way that they once were. Money is tight and the bills are pouring in. The job that brought in the fat paycheck is over and you don’t have any idea where to turn. It’s amazing how friends and even family can flee when tough times arise. The only time you know those are truly with you is when things get difficult.

Even though you’ve convinced yourself there is no way out, I encourage you to try one more thing. Try the Lord Jesus Christ. He will lift you up and restore all that you have lost a hundred-fold. He will bring you back and you will not be ashamed. Run to him today for refuge. You don’t have to face your troubles alone; not when you have a God who loves you and sent His Only Son to die for all your sins – past, present and future. Take advantage of what you already have. The solution you need is right there in front of you. Often times we search everywhere when all we really need is to look up above. Try the Lord today and see that the Lord is good.
