His Mercy

Be merciful to us, O Lord, for we are in distress;
Our eyes grow weak with sorrow, our souls and our bodies with grief.
Our lives are consumed by anguish and our years by groaning;
Our strength fails because of our afflictions, and our bones grow weak.
But you compassionate and gracious; slow to anger, abounding in love.
You does not always accuse, nor do you harbor your anger forever;
We are grateful that you do not treat us as our sins deserve.
You do not repay us according to our iniquities.
As high as the heavens are above the earth so is your love for us.
You are exceedingly rich in mercy.
You make us alive with Christ even though we are dead in transgressions.
We thank you Lord for your love endures forever.
We thank you because you are indeed good.
(Psalm 31:9-10; Psalm 103:8-11; Ephesians 2:4; Psalm 136:1)
